With both teams already out of contention, it was a good opportunity to try out some players. Final score on the day Newport 1:20 to Shannon Rovers 02:17. Draw game.
- Faoi 17’s: Our U17 hurlers took on Durlas Óg in Lacken Park on Monday evening in the County Hurling League. Newport came out on top after a good quality game with some excellent scores taken. Final score Newport 0-25 Dúrlas Óg 2-11. Newport will travel to Carrick-on -Suir for their next game on Sunday morning against Carrick Swans
