Michael Coffey (G) R.I.P. CLG Tulach Sheasta extends sincere sympathy to the Coffey family, Ballymackeogh, on the death of Michael Coffey (G) of Drombanna, Limerick and formerly of Knockaunbaun, Newport. Michael, lined out with his brother Donie, on Mulcair Rovers teams in the latter half of the 1950s, before the club’s demise in 1959. Michael captained the Rovers in their final years and he was renowned as a competitive player. When the club disbanded, the Coffey brothers transferred to Ahane. Michael Coffey is the fourth member of the Longhouse-based club to pass away during the last year, leaving just two survivors still hale and hearty.
