Congratulations to St. Mary’s Secondary School, Newport’s senior hurling team in the Munster C hurling quarter final which took place in UL North Campus on Friday 17^th January. It was a hard-fought victory over Borrisokane. St Mary’s only putting daylight between the teams in the last 15 minutes. Well done to all players and management. Their sights turn to Salesian Secondary College, Pallaskenry who the boys play in the Munster C hurling semi-final on Wednesday 22^nd January at 12.30pm.  Location tbc. Congratulations also to Niamh Bourke, Grace Burke and Cathal Bourke from Newport Ballinahinch Camogie Club with the U16 Tipperary Camogie club on their Munster U16B Semi-final win against Limerick on Sunday 19^th January. Final score Tipperary 1-10 (13), Limerick 2-4 (10). Congratulations Tipperary who are through to the Munster Final.
