Our Junior ‘B’ hurlers played Ballina at home on Monday. They put in a much improved performance, but in the end came up short by the narrowest of margins. Final score Ballina 1-22 Newport 3-15. They now await the Quarter Final draws for their next fixture.

Well done to our Under 13 ‘A’ hurlers who have qualified for the North Final, by virtue of a 1-13 to 1-3 semi-final victory over Toomevara in Ballina on Tuesday evening. A workmanlike display saw them through a well-contested game. They will play Roscrea in the final.
Our Under 17 hurling team gave an impressive performance in defeating Toomevara in Lacken park on Monday evening. They now await a fixture in the knock-out stages of the championship.
