Our Under 19 hurlers exited the championship following their third round loss against Roscrea on Wednesday evening. Well done to our Under 13 ‘A’ hurlers who have qualified for the North Final, by virtue of a 1-13 to 1-3 semi-final victory over Toomevara in Ballina on Tuesday evening. A workmanlike display saw them through a well-contested game. They will play Roscrea in the final.
Our Under 17 hurling team gave an impressive performance in defeating Toomevara in Lacken park on Monday evening. They now await a fixture in the knock-out stages of the championship.

The Under 15 A team played a very exciting draw v Toomevara in the North Championship last Thursday evening finishing Newport 2-11 to Toomevara 0-17 in Lacken Park. The Under 15 C team travelled to Toomevara and came away with a win.
A very disappointing start to the County Intermediate campaign saw Newport losing out to Carrick Davins by 3-20 to 1-23 in the first round of the county championship on Sunday evening. Their next game v Arravale Rovers will be on the weekend of August 30th / 31st.
