Faoi 15’s: The under 15 C team had a good win over Cashel in their opening game in the county championship last Thursday evening. The under 15 Group A team play Roscrea in the North Championship Preliminary Q/F this Thursday evening @ 6:45 PM in Roscrea.

Under 13
Faoi 13’s: The three U13 teams travelled to Cloughjordan to play Kilruane MacDonaghs last week with mixed results. The Group C team won a close and exciting game while the Group A & D teams lost out. The Group A & D teams are due to play in North Quarter Finals next week.

Under 17
Faoi 17’s : The under 17’s had a good win over Kiladanagan in round 6 of the North Championship by 2-26 to 3-12 last week. They play Moneygall on this Monday evening in their final group match.

With a much-changed team from their previous outing, Newport recorded a 4-point victory over Portroe in the North Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship at Lacken Park on Saturday evening. Comhgairdeas: Congratulations to Colm Ryan, Oisin Kennedy & Ollie Roche who were on the Tipp U15 panel which defeated Dublin in the Quarter Final of the Arrabawn Tourament on Saturday. Hard luck to Aaron Lane & Cian Donohoe who were on the Tipp team which lost out to Galway in their game.

Minor defeat
Under 17: Following 2 wins and 2 draws, our Under 17 hurlers had to give best to Kilruane when they met in Round 5 of the North Championship in Lacken Park on Monday evening. MacDonaghs had the upperhand all through and seemed the more cohesive outfit.
