CELEBRATING 140 YEARS OF NEWPORT GAA & GROWING (1886–2026) 🟡🟣 As part of our “140 years of Newport GAA & Growing” Anniversary Celebrations, Newport GAA Club is delighted to invite all club members, past players, supporters and the wider community to a very special evening in Lacken Park on Wednesday 22nd July at 8.00pm.The evening will feature a Past Players Reunion, celebrating the generations of players who have proudly represented our club over the past 140 years.
We will also honour Pakie Jones, the last surviving member of Newport’s historic 1957 County Tipperary Junior Hurling Championship-winning team, recognising his outstanding contribution to our club as a player, referee, coach and administrator.
To make this milestone occasion even more special, we are honoured to welcome Jarlath Burns, Uachtarán CLG (President of the GAA), who will visit Newport GAA as part of our celebrations.
