Our Under 17 hurlers began their championship campaign on Monday against the home team in Nenagh. With a number of players away, management had a good opportunity to run the rule over the panel. While Nenagh Éire Óg managed to rack up 0-21, Newport raised 6 green flags to finish on a 6-15 to 0-21 scoreline.
