Comhgairdeas to our Under 14 ‘A’ hurling team who won the North Championship Final last weekend with victory over Roscrea. A goal from Hughie Duggan on the stroke of half time and another bundled over the line by Sean Coffey 8 minutes after the resumption were the key scores. This was Newport’s first title in this grade as a non-amalgamation. Well done to players and mentors.
