Reunion

On Friday 16th May, Newport GAA Club held a reunion of players who contributed to a decade of significant achievements for the club from 1965 to 1975. Members of the famed Roscrea team that won the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Club Final in 1971 joined the former Newport players for a great night of reminiscing where songs were sung, stories were told and old friends and rivals got to meet and chat.  

Thanks to Tim Floyd for organising the reunion on behalf of the club and to the Lee family and staff at Lee’s Bar for their hospitality. Thanks to the members of Roscrea hurling Club for attending the event and making it a great evening. 

Each of the players that attended received a copy of our Newport GAA History book “By The Mulcair Banks” as a gift and a thank you for a great Decade of Memories.
