The under 17’s had a good win over Holyross / Ballycahill in the Co. Hurling League last week and also put in a great performance against Mullinahone in the Co. Football League, with both teams were out to prove that goals win matches in an entertaining game with Newport eventually winning out on a scoreline of 8-12 to 7-06. The under 17’s then had a good win over St Mary’s in the Co. Hurling League on Sunday morning in Lacken Park. They have a home game v Fethard / Clerihan in the Co. Football League next Monday evening @ 7:00 PM.
